OVERVIEW

Orthodontics

Orthodontists are specialists in moving teeth and aligning jaws.

All orthodontists are dentists first. Out of 100 dental school graduates, only six go on to become orthodontists.

Retainers

Dr. Nida wants your smile to remain straight and healthy throughout your life. In order to achieve a long-lasting, beautiful smile, you will need to consistently wear a retainer after your braces are removed. Retainers are oral appliances that help to keep your teeth in the same straight position that your braces did.

When your braces are removed, it is vital that you follow through and wear your retainer as instructed by your orthodontist. Failing to follow these instructions could result in your teeth shifting out of place. You will need to keep your retainer clean by brushing after removing from your mouth and before putting in back in.

WE OFFER THREE TYPES OF RETAINERS:
HAWLEY RETAINERS- METAL AND ACRYLIC
ESSIX RETAINERS- CLEAR PLASTIC TRAYS
PERMANENT RETAINERS- GLUED
